Why do you need a hang tag?
Hang tag is play an important role in the products because customers have behaviour to see the hang tag after the product. For example during visit the store if customer like any product he first see the hang tags to check the relative information such as price, size, content etc. It is also important to aware the customers about the product, brand and the moto of the company.
Although few information might be not too much relevant for end users but it very important for the brand and for their products.

Yes, it is very important to customise the hang tag based on the products such as customer never like a hang tag bigger and heavy then the products. Also the information should be limited, it should not be like telling a story.
Multiple hand tags on a single product should be avoided as customer never saw all the hang tags, although we can understand due the legal restrictions some information must be there whether it might not be important for the customers sometimes.
